Kerala Govt. Decided to Launch New Housing Scheme at Muttathara
A new housing scheme is to be launched at Thiruvananthapuram in Muttathara. This new housing project will be launched to rehabilitate the families of fishermen who lost their homes in coastal areas such as Valiyathura due to marine erosion.
However, this decision was taken at a meeting on Monday in the presence of Fisheries Director S Karthikeyan, Councilmembers Beemapally Rasheed, Sheeba Patrick, Noorjahan, other department officials
According to the information, the new housing scheme will be implemented on 3.5 acres of land that was delivered to the fishing department near the sewage farm, Valiyathura.
Currently, about 20 families have remained in the classroom for more than five years after being transferred to schools as part of the rescue measures.
This problem had become so difficult when the government had ordered councilors to find a suitable land to launch the housing scheme.
The meeting also decided to deploy six temporary employees as part of the initial procedures.
