Tamil Nadu Government Launched Housing Scheme for Homeless
Tamil Nadu state government has come up with the housing scheme for people who do not have a home. TN Prime Minister Edappadi K.
Palaniswami inaugurated the plan yesterday for the construction of pucca or concrete house.
Government of Tamil Nadu following the guidelines, given by the late former CM J. Jayalalithaa, of providing houses for those living in the Panchayat area and having owned no houses. She had instructed the authorities concerned to build houses in the Panchayat area for the homeless.
The implementation of the recently inaugurated Tamil Nadu New Housing Scheme will be with the financial support of the central and state governments
The plan launched for the current year in which housing will be built for the 50,140 beneficiaries living in the Panchayat area. The cost of concrete houses around Rs. 3.15 lakhs and the total value of the houses in the scheme is around Rs. 1580 crores and 36 lakhs.
During the inauguration of the project, CM gave the authorized order for the construction of the concrete houses to 5 beneficiaries.
